Abstract

Bullying behavior in the school environment is a growing social-educational problem in Indonesia that seriously affects students' physical health, psychological well-being, and academic achievement. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is believed to hold a strategic role in preventing such behavior because it embodies moral values, compassion, and respect for others rooted in the Qur'an and hadith. This study aims to systematically analyze the role of PAI in preventing Bullying behavior in schools based on a review of literature from the past five years. A systematic literature review method was applied, following the PRISMA flow of identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and inclusion of 27 articles sourced from Google Scholar, Garuda, SINTA, and DOAJ published between 2020 and 2024. The findings indicate that PAI contributes to Bullying prevention through three main pathways: the internalization of moral values and empathy in the learning process, teacher exemplary conduct as a moral figure, and the strengthening of a religious and supportive school culture. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of PAI's role remains constrained by limited instructional time, insufficient structured integration between PAI and school-based anti-Bullying programs, and weak collaboration among PAI teachers, homeroom teachers, and parents. This study recommends the systematic and sustainable integration of the PAI curriculum with school-based Bullying prevention programs.
