PEMBERDAYAAN PENDIDIKAN MELALUI PENDAMPINGAN PEMBELAJARAN, LITERASI DIGITAL, DAN PEMBENTUKAN TAMAN BELAJAR DI DESA KEJIWAN
Abstract
Education is a fundamental component of sustainable human resource development. However, observations conducted in Kejiwan Village, Susukan District, Cirebon Regency, revealed several educational challenges, including low reading interest and learning motivation among students, a shortage of teaching staff, limited use of innovative learning methods, and insufficient public awareness of the importance of education. This community service program aimed to improve the quality of learning through educational assistance focusing on literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, character education, and the establishment of a Community Learning Park (Taman Belajar). The study employed a qualitative method using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach and was conducted in Kejiwan Village from 11 August to 15 September 2025. The implementation stages included problem identification, program planning, action implementation, observation, and collaborative reflection with the community. The activities consisted of tutoring in basic literacy and numeracy skills, assisting teaching and learning processes in educational institutions, providing digital literacy and character education campaigns, and establishing a Community Learning Park as an alternative learning space for children. The findings indicate that the program successfully enhanced students' learning participation and motivation, strengthened their understanding of digital literacy and character values, and fostered stronger collaboration among schools, families, and the local community. Furthermore, the PAR approach encouraged active community participation, enabling the program to address local educational needs and support its sustainability. Therefore, this community service initiative has made a positive contribution to improving educational quality and empowering the community in Kejiwan Village.
